Description 2GR to SW20 MR2 Engine mount kit Finally a simple and easy to use engine mount kit for those wishing to fit a 2GR-FE engine into the second generation MR2, the SW20. Not only is this mount the simplest and easiest to fit and use but also it’s the only kit out there that is compatible with the TRD supercharged version of the engine. The basic kit as offered replaces the front engine mount and bolts directly to the factory mounting points on the front of the 2GR engine. No modification is needed nor any other custom work. The polyurethane bushing replaces the original bulky SW20 engine mounting. The power steering pump can’t be retained from the 2GR engine due to engine bay clearance. Product options – To use this engine mount kit with the supercharged model of 2GR as used by TRD an additional pulley with a custom mount is used. This additional option with this kit supplies a compatible pulley mount and some components to suit. This will then let an idler pulley bolt into place. A compatible pulley to suit this mount is not supplied.
