Description 20v 4age – Intake manifold vacuum block off plate – RAW FINISH This small aluminium plate directly replaces the original vacuum chamber on the top of the 20V 4age intake manifold. This results in a much more simple and neat looking intake manifold. It will however remove all the air feeds from this chamber such as the idle control, cam cover breather and others. UPDATE ON THE SUPPLIED SURFACE FINISH: These are now supplied with a raw aluminium finish on both sides. The edges have been cleaned up and mostly deburred however the faces are left in their original raw Aluminum state. The photos that show the plate installed on the engine is only an example of how it can look if one of these were to be sanded to a have a fine finish. Installation notes – To seal off this plate against the manifold either re-use the existing gasket, use some gasket paper to cut a custom gasket or use some sealant / gasket maker. It may be required to sand at least one of the surfaces properly seal off against the manifold chamber. – If the original ECU is used then the idle controller (ISCV) will still need to be electrically plugged in otherwise the ECU will have a fault code. In regard to the ISCV’s air piping it does not however still need to be plumbed into the idle control system and the ISCV can instead just be left mounted in any location while electrically plugged in. – After the installation of this plate the idle can be controlled by equally adjusting each of the four individual throttle blade stopper screws. These are located at the base of each throttle to adjust how far the throttle blades are able to shut when there is no tension on the throttle cable. Note: These four screws need to be equally adjusted so that all four throttles close to the same position. Additional information – The type of fasteners provided may vary such as being Silver-Zinc cap head or Gold-Zinc flange hex bolts. – The plates may have printed text on the from their original Aluminum sheet they were cut from. Additionally there may be some other imperfections such as small burrs.
